THINGS WE LOVED: This is one of our favourite places to holiday. Our site was a good size, and nice and shady. There is lots of space for the children to ride their bikes, as well as lots of activities – jumping pillow, pool, mini golf (fees apply), pedal cars (fees apply), and as we were there in school holidays, kids activities. There was also a wine and cheese tasting one afternoon, which was lovely. The bar is above the camp kitchen, and there is a fabulous big sandpit there where the three big children could play while we popped up for a taste or two. The camp kitchen is really well appointed, and also houses a cafe for easy takeaway options (there is also a takeaway at the servo next door). The amenities are modern and clean, and a good size, making them easy to use with small children in tow. The park also offers free kayaks and canoes, which are always a hit with our family. Being right on the river, there are plenty of opportunities to hang about and fish and watch the world go by. Their website has an interactive map, so you can see your site when you are booking to pick the one you like best, which we think is a really nifty little feature.
THINGS TO NOTE: the wi-fi was patchy and even showing full strength was very difficult to connect. The only other option was to sit up at the office and use their wifi, (which they happily gave the password to, with the wifi being a known issue) so I would recommend if internet connection at your site is important (as it was for this travel blogger trying to get things uploaded and posted and shared), you make sure you don’t over-run your 3G allowance the week before holidays (who? me?), or bring your own wifi dongle.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? yes. Definitely yes. We love this caravan park and have been multiple times and will certainly be back again.
